Erik Nakjavani

has published on American literature, interdisciplinary studies, literary theory and psychoanalytic criticism. He specializes in Hemingway Studies with emphasis on psychoanalysis. Among his most recent publications on Hemingway are: “Hemingway on War and Peace.” North Dakota Quarterly 68.2-3 (2001), "The Prose of Life: Lived Experience in the Fiction of Hemingway, Sartre, and Beauvoir." North Dakota Quarterly 70.4 (2003), “Hedâyat and Hemingway: A Study in Comparative Stylistics.” Edebiyat 13: 2 (2003). His essay “Alchemy, Memory, and Archetypes: Reading Hemingway’s Under Kilimanjaro as An African Fairy Tale” is forthcoming in Ernest Hemingway and the Geography of Memory.
