Michael Tritt teaches in the Department of English, Marianopolis College, Montréal. He has written about the fiction of many 19th and early 20th century American writers, including an earlier essay on the psychology of projection in Hawthorne's "Young Goodman Brown." His most recent publications examine the work of Irčne Némirovsky, Kate Chopin, and a little-known American-Jewish feminist editor and writer, Rosa Sonneschein.
